Where Does One Begin When Desiring To Study More About Astrology?

I love science, the universe, myself and others. I feel I see things deeper than others and have recently discovered that I should study Astrology. Where do I begin? Where is the best place to start?

I found the book “Astrology for Dummies” to be very helpful and easy to understand. I’m not an astrologist and I understood the book very well and was able to plot my own chart and read it by the end.

One best begins by getting enough education to understand that stars thousands of light-years away don’t have any effect on the destinies of human beings. Probably sixth grade level would do.
Then one has to realize that the influence of even the largest planet’s gravity upon a newborn baby is considerably less than the gravitational field of the doctor standing beside the bed, so really, it would make more sense to predict the kid’s future by analyzing the Obstetrician.
Thirdly, one has to find out how, when new small planetlike bodies are being discovered all the time, any possible “prediction” could ever hope to be accurate. Okay, are you a Sedna descending? Is your Eris in the third or fourth house? What about Orcus and your Quaoar? What happened to Pluto’s influence now that it’s not a planet anymore? How about Ceres, the biggest asteroid, now a “dwarf planet” like Pluto? Does it count again?
Or you could just save time and try reading tea leaves and chicken entrails instead. You’ll get the same results.

First you must understand a major flaw in Astrology.
The signs of the zodiac no longer correspond to the constellations for which they were named over 2,000 years ago.
This fact is because of precession of the equinoxes.
Back then, the sun was in the part of the sky called Aries at the spring equinox, but it is now in the constellation Pisces, and is actually moving on toward the constellation Aquarius.
So sun “signs” are off by about one and a half constellations.

    There’s a good beginning.
And of course you’ll want to go to http://www.alabe.com/cgi-bin/chart/astro...
So you can see what he’s talking about, and what’s in your own chart.

A bookstore would be a great place to start, like Barnes and Noble. I get everything there!

    You could start at astrology.com.
I learned a lot from that site, it’s cool.
