Comment posted Astrology? by aviophag.
You have posted your question in the “astronomy and space” section under “science and mathematics.”
Many people are not aware of the difference between astronomy and “astrology,” but you need to learn about it.
Astronomy is the scientific study of celestial bodies, their natures and their motions.
“Astrology” is garbage pseudo-science based on ancient myths and legends. In the modern world, it is of no use for anything but entertainment and as a scam for use by rip-off artists.
Please either withdraw your question from this section and post it in “horoscopes” under “entertainment,” or put the silly pseudo-science behind you and get interested in real science.
Thanks!

Astrology doesn’t work.
The time to grow up is now. - How Does Astrology (horoscope) Work?
Astrology is an ancient magical construct that is based on the assumption that the stars are the “read-out” of the hidden actions of supernatural forces.
As has been pointed out, there is no logical validity to such a belief. Commercial astrologers take advantage of the gullible by using “scientific-sounding” terminology. It’s all bologna. - Where Can I Find Astronomical Algorithms For Astrology Software?
Nobody in the science of astronomy will be willing or able to help you. Sorry.
First, learn the distinction between astrology and astronomy.
Astrology is the silly thing about horoscopes and all related fictions. Astrology is based on myths and legends and has no relation whatever to reality.
Astronomy is real science, and it is the study of the nature and motions of celestial objects. Its purpose is to learn about the nature of the real universe in real terms.
Astrology is of no use at all to anyone, except as entertainment. I think Yahoo!Answers has a section on astrology under “entertainment.” Take my word for it; that’s all it’s useful for.
Just think logically for a minute, if you are able to. How could the positions and motions of celestial objects thousands or millions of light years away possibly have any effect on events and personalities here on earth? Obviously they can’t have.
So please do yourself a favor, and get interested in the study of real science, and leave the superstitious pseudo-science behind you. - Astronomy & Astrology – Both Deal With The Celestial Bodies But Are Still Different In Names, Why So?
Sorry, Electro.
“Nomos” in Greek means “law.” The word “astronomy” literally means “the study of the laws that govern the stars.”
“Astrology” means “the study of the stars.” It is an older discipline, but has long been known to be unrelated to fact or science.
Astrology is garbage, and astrologers don’t especially care for the scientific parts of astronomy. It is not possible to subscribe to both at the same time, if that is what you mean.
I recommend you forget astrology and study the scientific reality.
